Group Therapy in London (online)
An 8-week Contemplative Group Therapy process
8-week online. Thursdays, 7:00–8:30pm UK New group beginning on September 18th, 2026
Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to explore how you relate - not only in reflection, but in real time, with others.
This group brings together relational therapy and a contemplative approach to experience.
It is a space to slow down, to notice what is happening within you and between you, and to develop the capacity to stay present in relationship - even when it feels unfamiliar or challenging.
The work
For eight weeks, we meet as a small group to explore the patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others.
The group becomes a live relational space where:
emotional responses can be recognised as they arise
patterns become visible in real time
new ways of relating can be explored and practiced
Alongside relational work, the group includes simple contemplative practices - such as attention to breath, body awareness, and moments of shared stillness - which support the capacity to stay with experience as it unfolds.
This is not a course or a technique-based programme.
It is a therapeutic process where insight, experience, and relationship come together.

What is Contemplative Group Therapy?
Contemplative group therapy integrates relational group therapy with practices that support awareness of experience — including attention to breath, body, and internal states.
The aim is not to achieve a particular state, but to develop the capacity to stay present with what is happening, both internally and in relationship with others.
Do I need previous therapy or meditation experience?
No. The group is open to those new to therapy as well as those with prior experience.
What happens in a session?
Sessions are shaped by what emerges in the group.
They may include:
moments of shared attention or stillness
group dialogue and relational exploration
reflection on patterns as they arise
gentle guidance to support awareness of experience
How many people are in the group?
The group is intentionally small (8-10 people) to support depth, safety, and continuity.
What if I feel nervous about sharing?
This is very common. You are not required to share before you are ready.
Many people find that, over time, the group becomes a place where they can speak more freely.
Is this psychotherapy?
Yes. This is a therapeutic group process.
It is not designed as crisis support or clinical treatment for acute mental health conditions.
What if I miss a session?
Missing one session is usually manageable, but regular attendance is important for both your own process and the group as a whole.
How do I know if this is right for me?
You are welcome to arrange a brief introductory call to explore whether the group is a good fit for you at this time.
